Doctors In Burnout: How To Move Past Burnout In 2018

Each year you’re ticking off things from your goals/bucket list. Maybe this year it’ll be buying that car you want or finally moving into that suburb you’ve always wanted to live in.

However, over time, achieving all of these things hasn’t made you any happier.

I mean, you may have more money, but are you any happier than when you were in uni eating 2-minute noodles for dinner? Are you any more satisfied, fulfilled, healthy, or excited about life?

And now, after pushing for so long and not feeling the way you want, you’re feeling burnout.

You know what I mean.

It’s where everything you used to do so easily is now a chore. It feels like you’re walking through mud just to get the simplest thing done and everything is well…pretty shit.

Setting goals in the same old way, will just bring more of the same.

What’s the point of achieving your goals but feeling like crap when you get there?

And, that’s where the shift in goal setting comes in.

I’m sure you’ve heard that it’s all about the journey, not the destination, but with people suffering from burnout, this takes on a whole new meaning. You know what it feels like to have every day hurting, not physically, but spiritually and emotionally.

The new way of setting goals is to change the outcome based strategy that you have been taught to use. Although this type of ’90 day plan’ type of goal setting has been successful for you in the past, it by-passes the most important part of goal setting – how you feel.

These new goal setting techniques, help you tap into that spiritual and emotional source and find goals that you’re actually passionate about. Yes, passionate (remember what it feels like to actually be passionate about life?)

I know you’re thinking, isn’t that just a load of new-age hocus pocus, where is the evidence in that. And, let me show you the evidence.

When your life is stuck, you’ve got to change your approach to get unstuck.

Basic logic is your evidence. Doing more of what you did to get you into this place is not going to help you get out.

More holidays are not going to get you unstuck. More money is not going to get you unstuck. And more work is sure-as-hell not going to get you unstuck.

So, I’ve developed a one day workshop to help get you from where you are today into the life you love. And, it’s very different from any course or seminar you’ve done before. It actually involves having fun. It involves being creative (don’t worry if you’re not artist, it’s not about the outcome, it’s about the process).
