The Tanzania Experience
Do you love being a doctor?
Love to travel?
Want to use your medical skills overseas where they’re really needed?
Reconnecting you with your passion for medicine and feeling the fulfillment, satisfaction and excitement to go back to work?
And have an incredible holiday while you’re at it?
That’s what we’re doing with our TanEx trip.
However, this isn’t for everyone. There are only 5 positions available, and we are currently over subscribed with over 60 doctors expressing interest.
This is not a locuming position. It’s also not a 6 months give-up-all-up Doctors without Borders style trip.
TanEx goes for 7 days (9-15th Nov 2019) in Tanzania, Africa.
We begin with a luxurious holiday in Zanzibar where you get to relax, unwind and also learn some practical skills to help you manage life as a doctor.
As you probably know, burnout is too common among Australian doctors and we’re all susceptible. So we’re also going to work on practical skills and strategies to overcome, or prevent it from happening in the future.
That way when you get back, you can maintain your level of happiness and excitement for medicine and life.
Next we’ll travel to a remote part of Tanzania where we’ve teamed up with the local hospital to provide treatment to their patients and well as training for their doctors.
Patients will travel from surrounding villages to get the treatment they’ve been missing out on.
Their doctors have expressed interest in getting some more training so they can then take that further and help even more patients.
This is going to be a one-of-a-kind experience while will leave you refreshed, fulfilled, and excited to keep doing what you love.
